General terms and conditions

Platform operator and contracting entity
TutorSouq is operated by Tutorsouq Technologies LLC. References to TutorSouq, we, us or our in these terms and policies mean Tutorsouq Technologies LLC, the platform operator and contracting entity.
1. Which terms apply
These terms apply to visitors, parents, learners, tutors and authorised users. Creating an account, booking, teaching or using TutorSouq accepts the applicable terms. More specific Tutor or Student and Parent Terms take priority for that role.
2. What TutorSouq does
TutorSouq connects families with independent tutors and provides search, messaging, booking, scheduling, video access, payment administration, commission, settlement, safety and support tools. It is not a school, training institute, educational service provider, tutor employer, curriculum provider, examination body or certificate issuer. Tutors remain responsible for lawful, competent tutoring.
3. Accounts, safety and acceptable use
Give accurate information, protect login details and report unauthorised access. No impersonation, scraping, copying, reverse engineering, disruption, overloading, security probing, access-control bypasses, malware, fraud, harassment, unlawful content, spam, contact harvesting, class-link misuse or off-platform fee avoidance. An authorised adult must create and supervise a minor’s account and provide required consents. Protect children’s identity and location; keep communications age-appropriate and learning-related. Report safety concerns. We may restrict access or preserve and disclose relevant records for safeguarding or legal duties.
4. Recordings, materials and ownership
Record classes only with required notice and consent, for authorised private revision. Recording access may be time-limited or withdrawn. Do not record without permission or download, screen-record, copy, edit, publish, sell, forward, broadcast, advertise with, train AI on or otherwise exploit recordings, transcripts, screenshots, links, teaching materials or another participant’s image or voice. Misuse may lead to removal, suspension, evidence preservation or legal action. TutorSouq and its licensors own platform rights; users retain original materials and grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, display and deliver them for platform operation, classes, support, safety and law. Upload only content you have rights and permissions to use.
5. Bookings, money and refunds
Availability and requests are not confirmations: required approvals and payment arrangements must be completed. The confirmed booking and role-specific terms govern prices, currencies, fees, offers, credits, cancellations, make-ups, refunds and package expiry. We may correct obvious pricing or technical errors before confirmation. Mandatory consumer rights remain.
6. Information and communications
We process personal information for accounts, matching, classes, schedules, communications, payments, safety and support. Use information only for authorised purposes. Video, email, payments, storage, analytics and messaging providers may process data under their own terms. We may send electronic service and safety messages; marketing follows applicable consent rules.
7. Changes and ending access
We may change features, correct errors, moderate content or suspend or end access for safety, fraud, non-payment, legal risk, repeated poor service, misuse or material breach. Where reasonably possible, we act proportionately and give notice or a chance to respond. Payment, confidentiality, recording, ownership, liability and dispute obligations continue after termination where their nature requires.
8. Disruption and responsibility
Unpreventable events beyond reasonable control—such as disasters, war, government action, widespread utility or telecom outages, public-health emergencies, cyberattacks despite reasonable safeguards or provider-wide failure—may excuse delay or non-performance. Notify us promptly, reduce disruption and resume when possible. We may reschedule, extend, credit, replace, suspend or cancel affected services. Ordinary scheduling conflicts, personal inconvenience, avoidable equipment faults, routine local internet problems and unnotified holidays do not automatically qualify. Users remain responsible for their decisions, devices, connections, conduct, licences and lawful use of materials. We do not guarantee a match, grades, admissions, exam results, uninterrupted access or earnings. Nothing excludes rights, remedies or liability that law does not allow us to exclude.
9. Complaints and law
Contact support@tutorsouq.com promptly with enough details to investigate. First try to resolve service, safety, payment, privacy or content disputes in good faith through support. Tutorsouq Technologies LLC is the contracting entity. Additional governing-law, arbitration or court provisions remain subject to legal review. Mandatory consumer, child-safety, privacy and other laws apply.
10. Updates and other provisions
We date the current terms; material changes may require renewed acceptance. If one provision cannot be enforced, the rest still apply. Not enforcing a provision does not waive it. Do not transfer accounts or agreements without consent. These terms, role-specific terms and the confirmed booking form the service agreement, subject to rights that cannot legally be limited.
